Trick-or-Treating

It was a really great night to go Trick-or-Treating. A little chilly but the skies were clear and it wasn't all that windy. Caitlin had a blast but about half way she decided she wanted to push the stroller and wanted me to go up to the houses and get the candy for her. I decided to give her a break and do one house for her so I walked up with the two other kids we went with and when the woman answered the door Caitlin yells up to me "Say Trick-or-Treat mom!" I could have died laughing right there! Here are a few pictures from the night.

After we made it home, and warmed up, She decided she was hungry and wanted to make herself a sandwich. Apparently I was hungry too because she made me one as well. I always wanted to try cheese and carrots on white...Here is a pic of the sandwich she made me lol.

Halloween Freebie Sneak Peek

I've been working on my halloween freebie kit and so far I really like it. The kit coordinates with the halloween word art that I already released. Here is one of the alphas that goes with the kit. Hope you enjoy!!

The letters are extra large, perfect as monograms or shrink them down a little bit for titles. There is no drop shadow on the letters even though I have one in the preview. I love reading your comments so please, if you DL, leave a comment. Thanks!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow night for the whole kit. Its looking like it is going to be pretty big!

Raking Leaves

Today I spent the day raking the leaves from the three GIANT trees in my front lawn. Of course the kids couldnt resist jumping into my giant pile and eventually daddy and I joined in too! We all had a ton of fun but I ended up with a nice sized blister on my hand from all that raking. Here are a few pictures of the day.

Interesting

I though this would be fun to see. Kinda strange to go from 792 (maiden name) people with my name to only 2. I remember when I was young I hated my last name because it was so boring and common. Guess I can't say that anymore :)

Pregnant Turkey

I know we haven't even passed Halloween yet but I got this in my email this morning and couldn't stop laughing so I though I would pass it along.

"One year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store. When my sister left, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted it into the turkey, and re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in the oven. When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something, she reached in and pulled out the little bird. With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed, "Patricia, you've cooked a pregnant bird!" At the reality of this horrifying news, my sister started to cry. It took the family two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs!Yep..................SHE'S BLONDE!"

I felt like I had to add a little something to this post after recieving a comment basically calling MY mother cruel. This turkey story is NOT about my family. It is just one of those emails going around, its more than likely completely fictional and just intended for the humor. It was not meant to "ruffle feathers" in any way.

A little About Me and a BIG Freebie

I thought I would post a little introduction about me since it is my blog and all. My name is Jessica (duh!) I'm 26 years old and I'm a SAHM to my two little kiddos. Caitlin is 4 years old and Austin is 4.5 months old. My husband and I are planning on trying for our next baby possibly as soon as January.

I've been scrapbooking since 1998 but have only been doing digital for about 6 months. I refuse to choose which I like best. They both have their great qualities. I decided to try my hand at designing digital kits to give me something to do during the day while the kids nap and the husband works. So far so good I think :)

Here is a kit I just finished today. I hope everyone enjoys it. Please leave a comment if you download

Kit Includes:

12 Papers (2 papers not shown in preview)
8 Epoxy Squares
6 Brads
6 Ribbons
