My Christmas Gift

Of course my son continues to amaze me and gives me the most perfect Christmas gift any mother could ask of a 6 1/2 month old baby. Check this out!

Now I know he didnt go far and he stumbled and fell but he is crawling! Isnt he just the cutest thing?

We had a great Christmas/Eve here. Our Christmas Eve dinner went off without a hitch, everyone loved the food and we didnt forget anything! Yay us! Gift opening got a little interesting because my living room is a little small...ok VERY small and a 2 year old, 4 year old, 5 year old and 11 year old can't be expected to open gifts in an organized fashion. It was really fantastic all together though. I think we might even be willing to host again next year LOL.

Christmas day was good too. Santa visited us during the night and left a bunch of gifts for the kiddies.

After we opened our gifts at home we went to my husbands mom's house and had breakfast and more gifts, then his dad's house for more gifts, then my friend Valarie's house for more gifts and finally to his grandfather's for dinner and...more gifts! It was a busy busy day but a lot of fun. Caitlin kept saying we were trick-or-treating because we kept going to different houses and getting stuff. It was too cute!

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday as well!

Finally Finished! - The Dining Room

Well, after months of working on it the dining room is finally finshed and just in time for Christmas Eve dinner here. With the number of hours my husband has been working lately we never really had time to get it done but since he has been on vacation this week we had time to finish it and do numerous other projects around the house getting ready for the family to come on Sunday. Here are a few pictures of the completed job. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself.

Yesterday was my daughter's Christmas party at her preschool. It was very cute, they sang a few songs, saw Santa and had a gift exchange. Here are some pics of her with Santa. (Much better quality than the last visit)

she had to tell him this time she wants a pink guitar...joy!

Lil' Renae

We took the kids to see santa today. Caitlin was REALLY excited, she even colored him a picture and made sure I didnt forget it at home when we left the house. After she got off his lap I asked her what she asked him for and she said she told him she wanted a Barbie Computer and a Pink Guitar...oh boy! I wish the pictures had turned out better but here they are anyways.

his booties would NOT stay on his feet so I just put them in my pocket.

Her shirt says "My brother is the naughty one"

Surprise!!!
Leave a comment if you download, thanks!

The photo slice

A couple people have mentioned liking the photo slice on the 10 things about me LO. You can get the template yourself free at the DIP Divas blog here and its on the December 16th post. Its a template by Kimlizzy.

Another Journaling Freebie and Other Stuff

Have you all been over to the digi-dare ya blog? It is the coolest thing. Every week they put out a new scrapping dare, things you might not normally scrap for various reasons. I don't know why I had never been there before, just too distracted I guess but yesterday I wandered on over and now I can't get enough! I did the current dare and I'm going through and working on catching up with the rest of them.

This is my LO for the current dare (#16 - 10 things about you)...

and I'm still working on catching up with the rest of them.

In other news I've joined my first creative team. I'm now scrapping for Blythe Evans, she has some really cute stuff. My favorite so far is her Classic Grunge: Deux Alpha but I'm sure I'll find a new one as I go. I'm having a lot of fun being a member of her team.

Tomorrow we are taking Caitlin and Austin to go see Santa Claus. The girl has been bugging me like crazy and we having made it over there yet. We were at Target today though and a gentleman with a long white beard and a twinkle in his eyes wearing a Santa hat entered the store as we were leaving...I think she believes and I'm definatley using the "he knows if you've been naughty or nice" to my benefit!

On to today's Freebie! On Dec. 3 I offered up a little Notebook Paper freebie. That was only two weeks ago and I have had more downloads of that than any other freebie I have offered up to date so I decided to make some more journaling papers! I hope you enjoy them. I appreciate all the comments you leave and look forward to more :) Here is your preview.

Friday Freebie!

First off I'd really like to thank everyone for their support, well wishes, compiments and congrats. It meant a lot to me. "T", just wanted to let you know I survived mostly on Tylenol, Tums and warm baths, doctors can be quite dense.

This weekend we are going to get our Christmas Tree. I'm very excited and can't wait to get my ornaments up on it. This is our first year in our new home so it will be extra special with all sorts of traditions just starting off. We will only have five ornaments on our tree this year, one for each member of the family that we picked out individually. Next year we will each choose out one more and have 10 ornaments on the tree (or 11 if we have a new baby by then.) So every year each person adds an ornament. Its going to be a crazy themed tree but everything on it will have meaning.

On to the Freebie! Today I have a really cute Christmas kit with lots of chipboard elements. Thanks again to Atomic Cupcake. I hope you all enjoy. Leave a comment if you download, I love hearing from you. Thanks!

This is a big one so its a 2 part download, make sure you get them BOTH

Life Updates...

Its been a few days since I've posted so I thought I would update a little on my life in general.

Gallbladder Issues - First lets start out by letting you all know that while I was pregnant with my son my gallbladder decided to go kapooey on me. If any of you have ever had a gallbladder attack you know how painful they can be. I was about 4 months along when I had my first one and I thought for sure that I was miscarrying. It hurt so bad I was curled up in a ball on the floor in the bathroom occasionally hanging my head over the toilet and vomiting. The only way I know to describe the pain is that it feels like someone was taking a serrated knife and stabbing me through the chest and out my back combined with nausea. I went to the emergency room and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, they suggested that it might be heartburn so we stocked up on antacids. Over the next few months the "attacks" became more and more frequent and the antacids did NOTHING to help. I went to the ER again when I was 8 months pregnant and this time they did an ultrasound and found multiple gallstones but told me there was nothing they could do about it while I was pregnant unless it became an emergency situation. They sent me home with vicodin. The last few weeks of my pregnancy were the worst with an attack at least every other day. Then I had my son and they all but vanished. Its been six months and I've had only two minor ones since then. Well on Monday I went to see a surgeon about it because we are planning to get pregnant again and I REALLY don't want to go through that again. He scheduled me to have it removed Jan 5th.

Baby Boy Stuff - The baby's next Dr appt is on Friday so we get to see how much the little chunker weighs now. Everyone says he is so tiny but they don't have to lug the guy around! LOL

Hair - My friend Valarie and I went to get our hair cut today. Every time I go in I tell them that I want something different with a lot of layers but I always end up with the same haircut I had before only shorter so this time I explained that to the girl and she was totally up for the challenge of giving me a new look. You can see the before here in this picture (I'll explain next what the picture is of.)

and here are a few after shots...

Alex - Ok, now to explain that first family picture. My stepson Alex is 11 years old and for extra credit in school he wrote a paper on what it meant for him to be an American citizen. The paper was then submitted to an essay contest and he won first prize for Lake County, so then the essay is sent on to the state level and he won again! I believe it is currently in Nationals but we won't know how he did until some time in January. The picture is of the family at his award dinner in his honor where they presented him with a savings bond. In the photo is me, my husband and the kids.

FREEBIE! - You had to read through (or scan) all of that and now you get your reward! Today's Freebie is a cute little set of 4 Christmas Chipboard Tiles. Please leave a comment if you Download these and enjoy!

*Special thanks to Atomic Cupcake for use of their chipboard action.*

LO and Freebie

I'm trying to delve into my pictures and scrapbook all those photos that I've been putting off and this is one of them. I really love the way this LO turned out. This is a picture of our house, its just a cute little cape cod and it needs a bit of work but we love it, its got a big backyard with a basketball court, a garden and a swingset. 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths is perfect for our family. This is the actual picture that was up on the realty website when we were looking for a house so I thought it would be the perfect one to scrap.

And now on to our freebie. Using the scrap of paper on my Home layout inspired me to make my own bits of notebook paper for journaling and what not. This is what the pieces would look like on a 12x12 layout. I hope you can find a use for these! Leave a comment if you DL

I want!

Have you seen the new Krafty line by Christine Smith? I love them and I want them all but I just know my husband would kill me if I spent $15 on myself before we were even done with our Christmas shopping. She has to be one of my favorite designers. If you check out her blog she has some cute LO's done with these kits too. You think if I bought them and hid them on the register somehow DH would find out? LOL Or maybe if I ask him REALLY nicely... ooooh I want!
Ok, enough on that, I'm working on your freebie for today, it should be up later this afternoon unless the kids prevent me from finishing it. We shall see!
