Well, its all done and over with. Finally! The nurses had some problems getting the IV into my tiny veins so I've got stick marks on both hands and it hurt like HECK! I've got a pretty high tolerance for pain too. After the IV was in they put these massage things on my legs to keep the blood flowing then brought Randy back to see me for a little bit before taking me back into the operating room. Once in the OR they switched me to the table, put my arms straight out and put something in my IV to "relax" me. It made my hand very cold then the room started spinning and I don't remember anything else. I know after it was all over and I was coming out from sedation I could hear one of the nurses telling me it was all over and I did great. Then I just started freaking out. I wanted up off the table, I wanted to sit up and roll over but they wouldn't let me. I fought with them and they strapped me down and knocked me out again. The next thing I knew I was in recovery. I have no idea why I fought them or why I wanted to sit up. It was weird, like being in a dream world. I kept apologizing to the nurses and they just said I did great. No one talked about what happened when I first came out of sedation so I'm not even sure if it was real. It doesn't seem like me at all.
I got home at 3pm and went straight to sleep. Today I feel great. A little sore and my shoulder keeps hurting but still, that's not bad for just having part of my guts removed right? Here is a picture of my lovely iodine, bandage covered, tubby tummy.
Don't mind the blood...sorry.

I had gallbladder surgery in 2001 and it was a HUGE relief. It got to where I had attacks every single day...and nothing helped. I would actually make myself throw up to get a little bit of relief but not much. I was out before I ever got to the OR - I was terrified too...never had surgery before either! I had gallstones also but during surgery, my surgeon seen that my gallbladder was diseased also (something that runs in my father's side of the family). When I woke up in recovery...it was weird but I didn't have much pain (I was on morphine at one point). Since my gallbladder was diseased, I had to wear a drainage tube from my side incisions for about 2 weeks...it was pretty gross but I'm SOOOO glad that sucker is gone and I don't have any more pain! I did keep my gallstones tho lol! The only thing that sucks about it is that when I eat greasy foods , I have to go straight to bathroom b/c of it...this only affects some people and it SO NOT FUN!
Anyway, glad your surgery went well & I wish you a speedy recovery! :)
Speedy Recovery.

Hope you are recovering well. Simple things will exhaust you for a while so take things slowly. Only found your blog today, your work is awesome and your baby is delightful. Couldn,t get all your Archived freebies as the links could not be found. Happy with what I got though. I went and bought the January kit from digiscrapdivas after seeing your LO.

Glad your surgery went well. I had gallbladder attacks when I was 12 weeks pregnant and was told I had to wait after my 24th week to have surgery. I was in alot of pain and my honey started research on gallstones and a cleanse. Well I did the cleanse with olive oil and grapefruit juice yummmy (not) I haven't had any more attacks and delivered a beautiful baby girl. My doc told me I would only get sick from the cleanse, I didn't. Now I feel fine, and after seeing your story I think I'll keep up with the cleanse. Good luck.
Hope you're well soon.
