The Missing Paper

It was brought to my attention that I forgot to include the teal paper in the So Bright Freebie offered below. I'm really really sorry about that! I have no idea how it didnt manage to get saved when I made the papers but I have re-created it for you all to DL. If it isnt exactly like the one in the preview I appologize, I think I got it pretty close though.

New Commercial Use Silk Flowers

I have released my first commercial use item, a pack of silk flowers, at Digi by Design. This set of Designer's Flowers includes 5, easy to recolor, frayed flowers. They are big enough that you can re-size them to whatever suits you. Hopefully there will be more designer resources to come.

Also at Digi by Design today and NOT for commercial use are all of the items I had up at The Daily Scrap before I left there so if there was something you wanted but didn't get now is your chance!

My Birthday Freebie and other news!

New Challenges Everywhere!

We all know that the 1st of the month means the start of many new challenges and I just wanted to take a moment to point out a couple I have going on.

First, I just started hosting a new recipe swap challenge over at Miss Tiina's. You'll want to check this one out for some yummy desert recipes! And anyone who participates in the challenge there will be entered into a drawing to win a free product from my store at OAKS

And last, but certainly not least, my regular challenge over at DSD. I wasnt sure how much I would be online while my parents were in town so I asked someone to fill in over there for me but you'll definately want to check it out. In non-scrap related news. The banister my dad came to do is almost finished. When the pulled up the carpet to remove the old one they found beautiful hardwood floors! I knew they were under there but figured that they had to be in awful shape for anyone to cover them up but they really do look fantastic! My parents are leaving tomorrow and I'm a little sad, its been nice having them here.

The basement is still a mess and its going to be a ton of money to fix it but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

Today is the service for my DH's cousin, I'm not looking forward to that but I do want to pay my respects.

And finally, my birthday is coming up next week. My mom asked yesterday what I wanted and I wasnt sure...all I could think of was maybe a new pair of jeans because I only have one pair I really like to wear. She told me she would love to get me a new laptop but thats not in their budget. It would be nice though huh?

Bad/Sad news time. First, I went down into my basement this morning to do some laundry and there was water everywhere! I woke up DH (who is working nights so he had only been asleep for 3 hours) and we started trying to figure out where it was coming from. We still don't know, and no one can come out and give us an estimate on fixing it until Saturday. Here is a pic...ignore the dark dank mess... I had piles of laundry seperated all over the floor.

Then later in the day DH's grandmother called to let us know that DH's cousin took his life. I'm not sure why but I do know that he left behind a wife and 3 small children. A three year old son and 5 month old twin daughters. I hate tragedies like these... It really makes you appreciate what you have. On top of all that my parents are set to arrive tomorrow...yikes!

A little cheer to add to all that drear too... Austin learned how to clap tonight. Its the cutest thing! I've got it on video but havent uploaded it yet. Hopefully next week I can show you all

Austin's Plane Freebie!

Tomorrow my parents arrive. I'm pretty excited but I still have a ton of stuff to do to get ready! Stupid never ending laundry! It will be nice to have the upstairs railing fixed though (thats what my dad is coming to do) And this will be the 2nd time they get to see the baby so thats nice too.

Soccer and Stitches!

Today was Caitlin's first soccer game. She did ok, fell a lot and got really dramatic about it, like a little dirt on her knee was proof of a broken leg or something. I got some cute pictures though! Thats my girl in the pink shorts. I think I'll have to buy her a black pair so she matches the rest of the team lol

Button Stitch Freebie!

We all know that buttons look better when they are stitched to the page so its hard when we find totally cute buttons that arent threaded! I ran into that problem today so I've got a solution for you! I made a couple of stitches that should fit perfectly in your unthreaded buttons. These stitches are so versatile, you can use them in your buttons or line them up to form a row of stitching. I've included the two pink buttons in the download since they are in the preview. I hope you find these useful!
