Surgery Update!

Wow, I have a lot of people sending me healing thoughts and well wishes after my surgery. You guys are so nice! You keep asking how I'm doing so this is it! I'm fantastic! I barely even feel like I had surgery. The itching has stopped since I peeled off most of the tape. I really think I was allergic to it or something. I only left a few pieces on the bigger incisions because I'm a weirdo. I'm the type of person who gets my blood drawn and then that arm is dead to me for the rest of the day. I can't take off the bandage til the next day because I need the hole to close or I fear I'll start spurting blood everywhere! So, the tape on the BIG incisions stays or my guts will bust open. Told you I was a weirdo LOL!

It Snowed!

Finally! I have been dying to get some snow pictures and we had our first REAL snow of the area this winter. It did snow once before a little before Christmas I think but not enough to even stick on the ground. So here are a few pictures of my girl playing in the snow.

What do you mean I'm not 4 Wheel Drive?

My handsome little man high centered himself in the most unusual place, just thought I would share. Poor guy. There is usually something on the bottom part of that table where he is stuck.

P.S. There is a safety cover on that outlet now, don't knw how I missed putting one there but when I DL the pictures and saw it I ran straight over and popped one in.

Its an artsy style or time period. They actually use the word in Disney's Beauty and the Beast when Cogsworth and Lumiere are showing Belle around the castle. Cogsworth says "As you can see, the psuedo-facade was stripped away to reveal a minimalist rococo design. Note the unusual inversely vaulted ceilings. This is yet another example of the late neoclassic Baroque period. And, as I always say, "if it's not Baroque, don't fix it!" " he pronounces it Ba-roke. Go ahead and do a google image search for Baroque, I think its very fitting. HELP!

OK, first off I'm feeling great and healing nicely. I just itch like crazy!! I'm lucky I still have tape over my incisions and all I can do is scratch over the top of that. My other problem is every once in awhile if I turn too quickly or in the wrong way it feels like the top center incision is ripping open. It isnt really, it just burns. All right, enough surgery stuff and on to my REAL dilema.

I've finished the paper pack for next freebie but the name I had in my mind for it doesnt work at all now and I can't think of one that suits it so I need your help. Post a comment with your name suggestions and I'll choose one tomorrow night and release the paperpack. Of course everyone gets this kit but I'll give the person who comes up with a name an exclusive add on bonus to it. Here is the preview, hope you guys have better luck than I did naming it. Update! YAY

Just wanted to post a quick update for you all. I really appreciate all the well wishes and concern, you guys are so sweet! I'm doing good, I actually slept on my side a little bit last night instead of flat on my back. On Monday the Dr. removed my bandages and now I just have pieces of tape over the incisions. I leave them there until they fall off on their own and then I guess I'm just a brand new person lol.

Surgery!

Well, its all done and over with. Finally! The nurses had some problems getting the IV into my tiny veins so I've got stick marks on both hands and it hurt like HECK! I've got a pretty high tolerance for pain too. After the IV was in they put these massage things on my legs to keep the blood flowing then brought Randy back to see me for a little bit before taking me back into the operating room. Once in the OR they switched me to the table, put my arms straight out and put something in my IV to "relax" me. It made my hand very cold then the room started spinning and I don't remember anything else. I know after it was all over and I was coming out from sedation I could hear one of the nurses telling me it was all over and I did great. Then I just started freaking out. I wanted up off the table, I wanted to sit up and roll over but they wouldn't let me. I fought with them and they strapped me down and knocked me out again. The next thing I knew I was in recovery. I have no idea why I fought them or why I wanted to sit up. It was weird, like being in a dream world. I kept apologizing to the nurses and they just said I did great. No one talked about what happened when I first came out of sedation so I'm not even sure if it was real. It doesn't seem like me at all.

I got home at 3pm and went straight to sleep. Today I feel great. A little sore and my shoulder keeps hurting but still, that's not bad for just having part of my guts removed right? Here is a picture of my lovely iodine, bandage covered, tubby tummy.

LOTS of News

Tomorrow is the day, 11am I go in for my surgury. I've never had surgury before so as the day gets closer I get more and more nervous. I don't like needles, I don't like the idea of being all cut up! I keep telling myself to be brave but I can picture it in my mind. There I am, sitting in the Doctors office and they call my name but I just sit there. They keep calling my name and my husband is next to me saying "Jess, that's you" but I just sit there staring straight ahead not wanting to go in. Am I just being a big baby about this? I mean I have gone through natural childbirth for goodness sakes! Either way, I'm scared and really not looking forward to it.

For the next bit of news I'm now on several different Creative Teams. I really enjoy being on a CT because it gives me more motivation to get my LO's done and I really need that. The new CT's were official on the first of the year. MissTiina.com (she has two beautiful new baby kits up in her store, one for girls and one for boys) and Digiscrapdivas.com. I'm excited to be joining both teams. There is one more to be announced soon.
