Memories Freebie

First off let me start by saying that I am still a beginner designer. I think it shows in my work but I am getting better and learning new things. Maybe someday I will feel skilled enough to try to sell some of my work, but still give away freebies of course! I couldnt leave you all hanging. It would be nice if my hobby could bring in a little money though (probably to go straight back into the hobby! LOL) With that said I learned a new technique tonight and I wanted to share the result with you all because I'm quite proud.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know mine was good and I got TONS of shopping in this weekend. Sorry I didnt have time to get on here and toss out any freebies but I have on for you now. I hope some of you can find a use for this kit. I'm going to be releasing it in small parts again but first I want to share a LO I did of my son. This picture was taken today, he was just so worn out from "bouncing" he zonked.

Thanksgiving Funny

This is a funny story my sister sent. Its not real so don't get all upity!

Thanksgiving Divorce

An elderly man in Phoenix calls his son in New York and says, "I hate to ruin your day, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are divorcing; forty-five years of misery is enough."

"Pop, what are you talking about?" the son screams.

"We can't stand the sight of each other any longer!" the old man says. "We're sick and tired of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Chicago and tell her." And he hangs up.

Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. "Like Heck they're getting a divorce, she shouts. "I'll take care of this!"

She calls Phoenix immediately, and screams at the old man, "You are NOT getting divorced! Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back and we'll both be there tomorrow.Until then don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?" And she hangs up.

The old man hangs up his phone, smiles and turns to his wife."They're coming for Thanksgiving and paying their own way!"

Val's Goth Girl

Ok, My very good friend Valarie told me last night that I should make a goth or punk kit for her. She doesnt digi scrap but she always compliments my stuff. I'm not goth/punk at all so she gave me a list of a few things that would go with each and some colors and this is what I came up with. Maybe she will try it now! I hope you enjoy the kit!

Itsy Bitsy Teensy Weensy Toot

So I'm hanging around last night reading the DigiShopTalk Forums and I was able to this really cute kit from Mona Minnie @ Scraptures. She was giving it away for free to 5 people and I was lucky enough to one of them. All she required was that you do a layout and post it in a few galleries for her. Creative Team Opportunity? I'm in! So what if I didn't get the "gig" on talent, it was a fun to do and the kit is super cute. You can check it out here. I was like a little kid on Christmas morning with a brand new toy that I had to play with RIGHT NOW! So I did my LO and I think it turned out cute. What do you all think?

Obviously I was a little preoccupied last night and I didn't have time to do anything BIG but I do have these cute little pearly brads that coordinate with my Christmas Blues kit. SaturdayI'm hoping to get the next kit going. Still trying to inspire myself. I keep thinking I have it then...well I don't haha! I'm hopeful though.

A *Dare* I had to do

So here I am, a little bit bored just cruising the scrap blogs looking at layouts and kits and such and I find the blog of Jeannie Papai (She has a great one btw) and the very first post she is daring us to Scrap our bottoms. I thought that this was such a funny and brave thing to do I had to take her up on the dare and I had the perfect picture to do it! On Halloween I took my daughter trick-or-treating with one of my best friends and her kids. Since I had to push the stroller I gave my friend the camera to snap pictures of the kids. One particular photo she was trying to get the girls, walking back home after a long and fruitful night of collecting materials for their upcoming sugar rushes and she ended up getting a shot of my tushy instead. You can barely even see the girls! Anyways, I figured it would be a perfect way to "end" my halloween pages LOL! So, here is my Layout...

Way too early!

I woke up this morning at 6am and considering I went to sleep at midnight last night and the baby kept waking me that is really not enough sleep. He is all bright eyed and bushy tailed right now though so here I sit, baby in lap and very sleepy! I decided that since he was the one keeping me up I would do a LO of him. I used the posting bonus add on for the Tough Stuff kit.

Blogger has a very bad habbit of cutting off the bottom of my LO's. Anyone know why? It is kinda irking me! I wanted it aligned to the left but it wouldnt do it without cutting off from the baby's fingers and down...

I've got my next kit in the works. So far only in my mind but hopefully I can get a piece up tomorrow for you guys. I've got all night to work on it, at least after the baby goes down for the night. The 4 year old is staying at grandma's house tonight and I must admit I'm looking forward to the break from my beautiful little drama queen.

Tough Stuff Day 4

Dining Room Update - We got the second coat on our dining room last night and it looks good but there are a few places that it needs a little more so we are going to have to do a 3rd coat. Then We have to paint all the moldings white and repaint the cabinets in the corners because we are going with more of an ivory color. I cannot wait til its all finished, I'm tired of my dining room table being in my VERY small living room.

Tough Stuff Freebie Day 1!

My next big kit is all about the boys and its called "Tough Stuff." I'm going to be releasing a little bit of this kit everyday until its all out so keep checking back! What a Cake!

Well, I baked a cake for my husband's birthday (I'm such a good cook, Betty Crocker and I get along great!) and after it cooled I let the kids decorate it with some of the halloween candy. They had a blast! This is a little LO I did of the cake and how happy Randy was when he saw it. It was a total suprise to him.

Well Darn!

I wanted to spend tonight getting a new freebie ready for tomorrow but my husband called off work to fix a leaky bathtub faucet so now I don't have any time to myself. I doubt I will be able to get it done in the morning either because tomorrow is his birthday and I seriously doubt he will enjoy spending it with me up on the computer. I suppose I can't complain too much, I do want his birthday to be a special one. We first met the week of his birthday so its a mini anniversary for us too. I'll def have one out by Mon so check back!

Another LO for me today and a Freebie for lookin'

My LO's seem to be rolling out which is ok by me. I havent been getting many done lately. I really should be working on painting my dining room but this is so much more fun! The dining room will be gorgeous when we finally do finish it though. I HOPE by the end of the week, I'll get some pictures of it up for you all to see. Anyways, here is the LO I did tonight.

I decided to try my hand at creating my own stitches. Just a simple straight stitch. Maybe I'll give a zig zag or criss cross stitch a try next but for now I'm pleased with these.

Time Flies

Yesterday my baby boy turned 5 months old. I can't believe how quickly this "baby" time is going by. I hold him now while he sleeps and my arms go dead because of how heavy he is getting! At only 6lbs 8oz when he was born this 15lb little porker is heavy! He is such a doll though, I just wish I could hold these moments forever. Its a good thing I have my scrapbooking to remember them.

Freebie With a Twist!

My daughter is so cute! She loves Tinker Bell and any time she sees her she starts yelling "Oh mommy! Tinkle Bell!" I just adore how she mispronounces some words and therefore decided to design a little kit based on the colors that make me think most of her little fairy idol. I now introduce my new kit Pixie Dust!

Preview...My Next MEGA Freebie

Well, I started working on a little kit in "Fall" colors for Thanksgiving but after I finished my first paper I decided it looked more like Christmas paper and I liked it A LOT!
